Science and Learning
Almost all Aztec children went to school. There were separate schools for girls and boys. Here the Aztec children learned about religion, history, country, poetry, music and dancing. Only boys received military training. For the noble children there were stricter schools where they learnt more and had a better education.
Medicine
To treat the sick doctors had to find out what the illness was, just like we have to now, but the illnesses that they thought patients had were a lot different to the illnesses and sickness we know about now. If they thought was a god, special sacrifices might be required, or if they thought it was an evil spell, the doctors had to use what they thought was magic. They also did use medicines, but they were pretty basic. One of the Medicines was a cough mixture. If you had a persistent cough this you could be cured my this medicine which was made by an infusion of teouaxin cooked with chilli and salt.
